Q1. Were there any challenges you faced in understanding and accessing NDIS services initially?
Answer: It was a struggle for the initial NDIS application but once I was accepted it was a lot easier to access services.
Q2. How has 9D Care’s support coordinator assisted you in understanding and utilizing your NDIS plan?
Answer: The coordinator has liaised with me throughout the initial process of application and the process after receiving it.
Q3. Can you give examples of specific ways your support coordinator has supported you in coordinating and accessing services?
Answer: I was getting support from my support coordinator, for instance by emailing and contacting me but I received extra support from her when I had a a-grievance close to me. My support coordinator made sure I had the right support in place at all times in the difficult period in my life.
Q4. How has your support coordinator facilitated communication and collaboration with various service providers?
Answer: She has been in constant communication wi thy me via phone and email and by also visits myself. With regards to collaboration, with the different services that I need, I cannot fault her at all.
Q5. Have there been instances where you’ve gained new skills or increased your independence through NDIS services?
Answer: I don’t think I have gained any new skills, but with NDIS I have been able to live my life more freely. For example access the community, go shopping, meet friends, and basic life experiences.
Q6. What advice would you give to others who are navigating the NDIS and considering support coordination?
Answer: When applying for NDIS, it can take a length of time for your plan to be accepted but with the support with NDIS coordinator it makes the process much easier to do it.
Q7. What sets 9D Care apart from other support coordination services you may have experienced or considered?
Answer: With 9D care being my first support coordinators I have no comparison with other companies; they have not defaulted my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone who would need NDIS coordinations.
